About the memorial: Large rectangular copper plaque , curved pediment at top , pilasters at each side , convex curved base with three rectangular panels inset. The left hand panel bears the date 1900 , the right hand panel bears the date 1903 and the centre panel has a badge consisting of a shield within a wreath surmounted by a crown all enamelled in multiple colours . Below the pediment a circular plaque in white metal set into the copper. On this In low relief , at left an angel reaching out to a semi clothed figure . At either side of this a part of the commemoration .Below is a brass rectangular panel divided horizontally into five panels of dissimilar sizes containing , from top , the dedication , then the titles of the four units commemorated , each with its badge in low relief at top left of the panel , the bottom panel bearing an additional badge at bottom right . The badges are in white metal in low relief with a background of crimson enamel .The wording on all five panels is in white metal and records the names of officers and a numerical record of other ranks and is raised on a background of blue enamel .
