About the memorial: Oak Panelling- "The memorial, which consists of oak panelling set within an enclosure between two columns and surmounted by a projecting canopy, combines the names appearing on the memorials of the former two churches now united, in one congregation- those of St Gilbert's Parish Church and those of Sherbrooke United Free Church. It is immediately below a window erected after the First World War and is designed in the Gothic style of the church. The panelling was lost when the Church closed, though the window survives. For the other part of the memorial- a stained glass window which does survive- see WMO/285592
