About the memorial: A plain engraved light coloured plaque with dark lettering. A RAF badge is at the top and a side outline of a Hampden bomber in the middle. The plaque was originally on a wall at the corner with Longbrook which was becoming overgrown. The local press reported in 2016 that plans were being made to move it to a more appropriate location. The local branch of the Royal Air Force Association undertook this work as can be seen from the report on their website. The memorial is now on a low plinth close to the road.
