About the memorial: Rectangular, wooden board with black and gold lettering. the dedication refers to the nearby reredos of St Peter's altar in a side chapel. The memorial is in St Peter's Chapel at the east end of the south aisle. The church is also known as St Mary and All Saints' Church. Rykneld Square was formerly known as Church Way

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Jesu Mercy. This reredos of Saint Peter's altar is dedicated in thanksgiving for the life of David Devonald Beynon Lieut. South Wales Borderers born September 18th 1923 killed in action in Italy Jan 29th 1944. At the age of fifteen he had dedicated himself to the priesthood and by his faithful example he helped many to serve the Lord Christ. Also for Eric Gillyatt Corporal Royal Welch Fusiliers born June 15th 1916 killed in action in Normandy July 23rd 1944, for several years organist of Saint Leonards. Both of them were faithful servers at the altar here. Now they desire a better country that is an heavenly wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God for he hath prepared for them a city. Hebrews XI.16.
