About the memorial: Clock in Octagonal case. It was positioned above a window on the exterior wall from a bracket through which it could be wound from inside the school. On either side of the window was a metal names plaque set onto the wall. It was paid for from the balance of the Comforts Fund raised by Wheatley Hill United Women's War Committee. Later (at an unknown date) it was moved to The Royalty Cinema (previously known as The Palace). After the Cinema closed the building became a DIY store. The clock was later moved to the Heritage Centre when the building was demolished. The names plaques were moved to the Civic Memorial (WMO/224741) at the base of it's pedestal but they were replaced in 2015.
