About the memorial: Stained glass roll of honour listing those who fell and those who served. Those who died are commemorated within a laurel wreath whilst those who served are commemorated across the bottom panel of the window. The two photographs provided indicate that the screen has been moved from a previous site and modified. It is clear that the present church building is a modern structure. In fact the church website says that this church was established in 1940 so the memorial must have come from elsewhere, and any local knowledge on this subject would be a welcome addition. The said website states that the Church was originally a Mission Church to the now closed Bartholomew Street Baptist Church and that the current building dates from 1963. In particular it would be good to know why such a beautiful original was cut down in the way that it apparently has been.
