About the memorial: Paper Roll of Honour under glass in wooden frame. Blue, red and black lettering. Laurel spray with red Latin cross and scrolled banner at the top. Sited nearby is an accompanying Roll of Honour of those who volunteered for service. This has red and black lettering and is on paper, under glass with a wooden frame.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Brushford Somerset. Roll of Honour. "Faithful unto Death". Men of this Parish who have laid down their lives for King & Country in the great European War. "Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints". "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori". "We look for the Resurrection of the dead and the life of the World to come".

August 16th 1915, Trooper Felix Tarr, (West Somerset Yeomanry) Died of wounds. Oct. 16th 1915, Private John Ball, (Devon Regt.) Died of wounds. February 21st 1915, Private William H. Cockram, (Devon Regt.) Died from effects of exposure whilst serving on the field of battle. July 1916, Private Albert Carter, (Somerset Light Infantry) Killed Aug. 16th 1917, Private Arthur Fyfe, (Berkshire Regt.) Killed Augt. 8 1918, Private William Palmer, (Somerset Light Infantry) Killed Oct. 13 1918, Private Charles Kemp Fewings, (Machine Gun Corps) Killed March 30th 1918, M.M., Sapper Walter Greedy, (Royal Engineers) Died Dec. 22nd 1918.
