About the memorial: Two light Stained glass window, each light divided into upper and lower panels, divided by a cross. The left hand light depicts Christ offering the Crown of Life. The right hand light depicts a knight with head bowed to receive the crown. In his left hand is his helmet, in his right hand is a shield bearing the arms of St George, with an angel looking on. The quotation is carried on a scroll at the top, The dedication is carried on a scroll at the bottom. After closure of Corporation Road Church in 1967 the window was moved to Bondgate Church, which itself closed in 2020. The subsequent location of the window is unknown.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
