About the memorial: Composite. The memorial is on it's original site but there has been a name change for the premises. A gun metal plaque in moulded oak frame. At the top is the school badge. The NEWMP report which this report is based on notes that 2 further names were added, but this is uproven from the supporting photographs on that report. The memorial scheme also included these changes to the pre-existing (1928) built organ, which is still in use- 1. Convert to electro-pneumatic, 2. New modern console, 3. Tonal enlargements due to the size of the hall, increasing the Great section from 4 to 8 stops, the Swell section from 4 to 7 stops and the Pedal section from 2 to 5 stops, 4. Add appropriate couplers and accessories, 5. Provide electric blower, 6. Revoice all pipes. The specification on the National Pipe Organ Register is for the original size of the organ, so it is not clear if these enlargements were reversed at the early 21st century rebuild of the organ.
