About the memorial: Nowy headed board with a moulded frame enclosing the inscription panel. The inscription is in gold painted Roman capitals. Above the inscription, and partially into the shaped head, is a raised laurel wreath, carved in high relief, enclosing a convex panel upon which is a raised gilded Latin cross. The wreath, supported by a ribbon scroll, also in high relief, bearing the words 'pro deo' to the left and 'pro patria' to the right, separates the dates . There is a line of scrolled decoration between the heading and the list of names. This is a different memorial to WMO/201532 which covers all who served. This memorial is to the fallen, and includes the restoration of the bells. The WW2 Board (WMO/201545) is directly below.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
