About the memorial: Stained glass window: Four-light stained glass window, with the emblem of the 2nd Life Guards top-centre of tracery. The first light is headed by the crest and coat of arms of the Ferguson family, beneath which stands St Michael, with St Stephen kneeling below. The two centre lights depict the Battle honours of the 2nd Life Guards above a Crusader knight: in the left panel he is depicted holding a sword while at prayer, in the right he is shown offering up his sword on the altar and receiving in return the Crown of Glory; at his feet in each of the panels are the emblems of the 2nd Life Guards and the Guards Machine Gun Regiment respectively. The fourth light is headed by the coat of arms of the Ferguson/Hampton family, beneath which is St Gabriel, with St John kneeling below. Associated plaque, adjacent to the window: brass with black lettering, it is situated to the west of the window. It is on the north wall of the north transept.
