The words “For King and Country” form a shallow arc at the top above a laurel wreath enclosed a crown surmounted by a lion. The royal standard and union flag are either side of the wreath. The words “Roll of Honour” are in red with swags surmounted by a red rose on each side. Names are listed in two staggered columns, all printed using Roman lower case lettering. At the bottom are the words “God save the King”. The Community Centre itself is WMO/289092. The Roll of Honour was originally in the Methodist Church. Before the Memorial Garden (WMO/205184) was constructed this was the de facto Civic Memorial.
