About the memorial: Wooden Board flanked by pillars in relief with a wreath and "PRO PATRIA" above the text. The status of the memorial is unknown, but the school was renamed Hackney Downs School in 1906, became a comprehensive school in 1969 and closed in 1995, being replaced with the new build Mossbourne Community Academy in 2004. It would be very useful for someone local to confirm the status of the memorial. In order to raise a record and provide a pin location the Academy has been given as the address, but that needs confirmation. However in 2013 the Clove Club (the old boys Association of the School) produced a wonderfully comprehensive Roll of Honour in book form. See the link for access to this book, which being a mass produced professionally produced book, is not a memorial in it's own right (more's the pity!).
