Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.
If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.
The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

WINDOW - BLESSED ARE THEY THAT MOURN/TO THE GLORY OF GOD REMEMBERING THE SACRIFICE OF 1939-1945/[names]. EXPLANATORY PANELS - 1. CADZOW PARISH CHURCH/WAR MEMORIAL/WINDOW/The theme of the window/is based on the Beatitudes./The Lord, seated on the rainbow, has right hand raised in/benediction, symbolises the/Pure in Heart. His left hand/holds the book of judgement/open at Alpha & Omega./At his feet on the left side is/the Pelican, symbolic of sacrifice,/and on the right the Phoenix,/symbolic of resurrection./The Crusader represents the/Peacemakers. On his surcoat are/the arms of the Hamilton family,/and the oaks of Cadzow are/suggested in the oak leaves of/the border. 2. At the Crusader's feet the/Pascal Lamb symbolises the/Week. They that Mourn are/represented by Mary with the/Holy Child; at her feet lies the/Crown of Reward. Above and/below the names of the fallen are/the devices of the Navy, Army,/& Air Force, and that of the/town of Hamilton. Beneath the window the roll of honour/lies encased in Cadzow oak.// This window was designed and/executed by Douglas Hamilton of/Glasgow, and was unveiled by the/Rt. Hon. Tom Fraser M.P. , on the/30th October 1949./Rev T.F. Harkness Graham B.D./minister of the parish, officiated/at that service of dedication
