Type: Non freestanding
Location: Internal
Setting: Attached to a building/structure
Description: Composite
Materials:
  • Timber Timber (any)
Lettering: Incised
Conflicts:
  • Second World War (1939-1945)
About the memorial: Wooden Board recording the gift [of The Chapel of the Guild of the Holy Cross], which is at the east end of the north aisle. It is adjacent to the Birmingham Blitz Roll of Honour (WMO/236576), which is what makes this a composite memorial. The board did not photograph very well, and the epitaph cannot be fully read. Strictly speaking the Chapel was restored, not given, in his memory, in 1956- see the Interpretation Board.
