About the memorial: An addition to a headstone on a family grave. The finely-dressed low grey granite headstone has a shallow arch top and is unusually deep. The 6 o'clock face and the upper surface bear inscriptions incised in upright capital block lettering. It is accompanied by oblong sandstone kerbs with a further inscription inlaid in upright capital block lettering on the flat upper surface
