About the memorial: An addition to the wording on a family gravestone. The tall headstone is of polished pink granite and has a flat top with a small triangular finial at the centre, a faint incised design at the head, chamfered edges and an inlaid inscription in upright capital lettering. It surmounts an oblong granite base with chamfered top and a further inscription on the face, however the conjoined headstone and base have been laid flat on the surface of the grave. A second oblong base with chamfered top remains in situ and is accompanied by oblong sandstone kerbs with a further inscription inlaid on the inner face.
