About the memorial: Portrait-oriented rectangular brass plaque on a wooden backboard. The plaque has an etched floral border. At top-centre is the enamelled Bradford City Coat of Arms, flanked by the first line of the inscription. Beneath, the inscription is in incised black and red lettering. The orphanage left this address in 1955 and closed permanently a year later. The site has been redeveloped for housing.
