About the memorial: An addition to a black granite headstone on a family grave. The headstone has a shallow arch top, rebated corners and rounded sides with a decorative frieze incised at each side of the foot. The headstone surmounts a plain oblong base and is accompanied by rectangular kerbstones. The inscription is incised on the face of the headstone and base in upright capital roman lettering with the maker's name at the foot of the kerbs.
