About the memorial: An addition to a black marble memorial on a family grave. The low headstone has a shallow arched top and stepped corners with ivy leaves in relief in oblong panels on each side. The inscription is surrounded by a thin incised border and is incised in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone is accompanied by chamfered black marble kerbstones with a further inscription incised on the east face, also in upright capital roman lettering. The grave number and makers' mark are incised at the foot of the kerbs. It is Grave 1665 towards the centre of the cemetery. He is also commemorated on WMO/291167 at Bolsover Methodist Church.
