About the memorial: An addition to a sandstone headstone on a family grave. The oblong headstone has a stepped top and recessed side panels bearing a Latin cross in relief. The inscription is incised in upright capital roman lettering and the headstone is accompanied by plain oblong sandstone kerbstones. The grave is towards the centre of the cemetery. He is not commemorated by CWGC. More research is needed to determine whether this is a war death, or just a Merchant Naval death unrelated to the war.
