About the memorial: An addition to a white marble headstone on a family grave. The low headstone has a stepped pointed arch top with an inlaid inscription in upright capital block lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong base with bevelled top and is accompanied by an oblong recumbent tablet with a further inlaid inscription in upright capital roman lettering, and by plain oblong kerbs. It is towards the middle of the western boundary wall. CWGC give the date of death as 5 November as against 4 November on the gravestone.
