About the memorial: A church clock and associated plaque. The clock has a dark face with gilded hands and roman numerals. The wall- mounted oblong brass plaque is on a wooden backboard and has an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering coloured black. The varnished wooden backboard has rounded edges. The clock is in the tower and the plaque is on the north wall of the west entrance, at the foot of the tower.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

THE CLOCK IN THIS TOWER WAS PRESENTED BY/ THOMAS SCOTT TO THE GLORY OF GOD; AND THE USE OF THE PARISH OF ST. THOMAS BRAMPTON; AND WAS ERECTED BY JOSEPH HASLAM; AS A THANK OFFERING FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF HIS; TWO SONS FROM THE GEAT WAR 1914-1919.; DEDICATED OCTOBER 24TH. 1920.
