About the memorial: An addition to a white marble headstone on a family grave. The low oblong headstone has a rounded top, stepped shoulders and recessed panels to each side bearing carved roses in low relief. It bears an inlaid inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone is accompanied by plain oblong kerbs. The memorial is southeast of the church, towards the southern boundary of the churchyard. From the date of death, January 1946 in Norway, this is not strictly WW2, but he undoubtedly died on active service.
