About the memorial: An addition to a headstone on a family grave. The tall, upright, pink granite headstone has a flat top, straight sides, and is roughly dressed but has a raised polished face with a thin incised border and sprays of foliage at the head. The face bears in incised inscription in upright capital block and roman lettering. The border, decoration and inscription are all infilled in black. The headstone surmounts an oblong sandstone base which bears the maker's details incised on its upper face. The memorial is just south of the church porch, towards the southern boundary of the churchyard.
