About the memorial: A commercially-produced illuminated Roll of Honour, with an image of the School buildings incorporated into the border at the bottom. The border down the sides and bottom carries the crests of the principal Allies linked by bines encircling a column, with symbols of Great Britain - the rose, the thistle, the shamrock and the leek - portrayed between them. At the centre at the top is portrayed the figure of a mounted knight in armour carrying a pennant emblazoned with 'Freedom', whilst at each side are figures portraying 'Justice' and 'Liberty'. The names, with units, are in six columns in the central panel, with a blue cross denoting those who died. The referenced transcription (when studied in depth) shows that one of the casualties-Herbert Fazakerley- actually died in Iraq on 7 September 1922 while on active service with the RAF- he is also commemorated on the St Philips Mission Memorial- WMO/281380. I have placed the pin position on the nearby District Primary School in Patterson Street, a possible location if the memorial has in fact survived.
