About the memorial: An addition to a family gravestone comprising a sandstone headstone accompanied by kerbstones. The headstone has stepped shoulders and curved side panels with an incised narcissus plant on each side. The inscription is incised in mixed styles but mostly upright capital roman lettering. The oblong kerbs are overgrown but do not appear to bear any inscription. A matching sandstone vase is placed in the centre of the grave. CWGC has the date of death as 8 January, compared to 3 January on the gravestone.
