About the memorial: A brass plaque with decorative details at the top is framed on the wooden back board. The year of the war is kept in the decorative pattern where below the inscription. The wreath is placed in the middle of the plaque with decorative design and written 'Faithful Unto Death' in the space of ribbon pattern. Two columns of names are in the middle of wreath and another 4 columns of names around the wreath. The quotation is at the bottom of the plaque. Names are in alphabetical order in surnames. Lettering are in caps and carved. Below the fallen names are the names of 4 female nurses. Google maps treats this location as Glengormley. The names are in 4 columns, with those of the fallen being in an embellished wreath at the foot of Columns 2 and 3. Not apparently commemorated anywhere in Carnmoney is VAD Nurse Lily Hamiton- she died of pneumonia at Catterick Camp on 18 November 1918 and is interred in a war grave at Carnmoney (Main) Cemetery. She has the distinction of being the only VAD nurse with a CWGC gravestone in Northern Ireland.
