About the memorial: Additional wording to the inscription on a family gravestone. The gravestone comprises a pink granite "hipped" ledger with an incised inscription in mixed styles of lettering. The ledger rests on an oblong base, also of pink granite. The memorial is east of the chapel, between the path and the road. CWGC give the date of death as 2 June as opposed to 3 June on the gravestone. He is actually buried at Roskeen, which is a short distance from Invergordon. 'N.B.' in the dedication is an archaic term, meaning 'North Britain' which is the old term used in England for 'Scotland'
