About the memorial: An additional inscription to a headstone on a family grave. The tall sandstone headstone has a pointed arch top with a broad border of carved ivy and other climbing plants. It has recessed sides, and a spray of ferns and flowers in relief in a cusped triangular panel at the head. The inscription is inlaid in mainly upright capital block lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong sandstone base with chamfered top decorated with heavy dentils. The memorial is to the southeast of the church.
