About the memorial: A roughly L-shaped parcel of land laid out to woodland and open grassland with picnic tables and recreational features. There are two entrances from Stubbins Lane, that to the east is the main one and has a plaque mounted on the wall next to the gate. The circular metal plaque has a narrow raised border, a mature oak tree at the head and a raised inscription in capital and sentence case roman lettering. The oak tree is in brown and bright green and the lettering and border are coloured white, all against a dark green ground. The park is also known as Stubbins Park Local Nature Reserve. The park is on the southern side of Stubbins Lane opposite the junction with Over Hill Road. The plaque is by the main entrance at SK 03649 82697. See also WMO/291516 for a Centenary tree planted in 2018.
