About the memorial: An addition to the lettering on a stone on a family grave. The limestone memorial comprises oblong kerbs with a deep chamfer on the inner face bearing the inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering. The kerbs accompany a CWGC headstone and have the maker's name incised at the foot. The memorial is west of the church, opposite the main entrance, near the path from the road. Private J C Roberts is buried here so this is not a war memorial to him - it is his war grave, recognised as such by the CWGC. Captain W J Roberts is buried at Ipswich, therefore this is a war memorial to him. Grave C2. W J Roberts died too late to be included on the CWGC database.
