About the memorial: A two light stained glass window in a shallow arched opening. The two lights, mainly in blues, greens, browns and white, have ogee heads and are separated by a stone mullion. The left light depicts two British infantrymen; one in field dress, one wearing a greatcoat and peaked cap, and both carrying rifles. One is pointing out a white cross in the sky and the other is turning to look at it. The right light bears a depiction of Jesus in white robes. Across the foot of both lights is a design incorporating sprays of acanthus leaves supporting a platform on which the two images rest, and at the centre is an unfurled scroll bearing the inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The maker's name is inscribed in the bottom right margin of the right light. The memorial is in the wall of the apsidal chancel. According to CWGC he was born at Waltham Abbey and lived at Kirton Holme (Boston). At Kirton he is commemorated on WMO/119834 and 269354. He is also commemorated on the Dunstable Grammar School memorial-WMO/268618.
