About the memorial: Book of Remembrance, with 645 names, of these 103 died. In the end wording in the book it states that over 800 employees served, but this is not supported by the names in the book, or on the two Rolls of Honour (in Dublin). The names are listed by department then surname, with those who died being notated with a '+' next to their name. There is at least one name in the book who is not commemorated by CWGC- William Geoghegan, died 22 February 1916, 16379 Royal Dublin Fusiliers, aged 54, of tuberculosis, as he had been discharged from the Army on 21 November 1914 as "not likely to make an efficient soldier". The book includes the department of 'Channel Steamer Service' for their vessel the SS W M Barkley, which was torpedoed on 12 October 1917. All five who died were Guinness employees but for whatever reason only 4 of those 5 are listed in this book.
