About the memorial: Cast bronze plaque with triangular pediment, beneath which sits a shield bearing crossed laurel branches. The main dedication sits above the two columns of names, with the Company name below. Originally erected on the wall of the Company's Prescot Works and subsequently moved to other premises locally before going into storage, the plaque was re-sited by Knowsley Council in 2011, along with the WW1 plaque (WMR 1231), and now sits on one side of a stone block wall within a purpose-built garden area between Prescot Cemetery and St Mary's Churchyard. The wall is set on stone flags surrounded by planters within a steel fence, at the centre of a slightly raised circular lawn, ringed by a set of steel benches with cut-out designs and dedications, one of which is set immediately in front of the plaque. The town's crest carved on a stone block sits within the circle, in font of the plaque. An interpretative plaque giving the history of the Company's Memorials is positioned in front of the South face of the wall.
