About the memorial: Old hymn-board with names copied from baptismal font war memorial it is affixed to the wall within St Marnock's church. The memorial baptismal font became redundant in 2015 when asbestos was detected within the church and church services were thus made impossible. On deciding to sell off the church building, certain movable items were relocated elsewhere and this memorial font taken to St Marnock's Church, Fowlis. Since it was no longer to be used as a baptismal font and now kept in a store, a substitute WW2 memorial board to commemorate the war dead of Liff and around, and which could be displayed, was deemed necessary. The original memorial can be examined if required and arrangements are made.
