About the memorial: Tablet-no other details known. Among the casualties named are 2 VAD nurses, who by the nature of their work, did not qualify for recognition by the CWGC. They are Ida Martin and Gertrude Annie Taylor who are buried 100 yards apart in Belfast City Cemetery. Gertrude had worked in the UVF hospital in Belfast in 1915 (WMO/291855 narrates the history of this hospital), then 20 General Hospital in France and died of pneumonia on 12 December 1916 while working at the 1st London General Hospital, Camberwell. Both nurses are also commemorated on the Strandtown Memorial (WMO/157293).
