About the memorial: Plaque marking the grave plot of the family, in which is the CWGC gravestone of Henry (senior) and Jane's son-James who died on 21 December 1916. The plaque does not betray that 4 members of his family are buried in this plot, who died in the Belfast Blitz. They are not recorded at all on the CWGC civilian lists. Henry senior was aged 74, Ann Jane 75, Henry junior 4, and Margaret 46. Only research into the Belfast Civil Defence lists and the Burial Registers records the truth. Strictly as this is their burial place this is not a valid war memorial record but as they are not named here and are not otherwise easily traceable there is a very good case to be made for this record.
