About the memorial: Bronze Plaque. Thirteen Civilians aged between 10 months and 60 years died when 4 houses- 55 to 61 Messines Park, Derry/Londonderry were hit in an air raid. The plaque is not strictly correct as a second bomb landed in te raid-causing damage but no fatalities- see the newspaper article. For reasons of morale boosting censorship the raid was not reported contemporaneously.
