About the memorial: Elaborate pedimented 5 panelled board documenting all who served and fell from the Church in WW1. Most unusually there is a separate section for those who volunteered with the YMCA. One of those three named men is Revd William Andrew Wilson, Minister of the New Row Presbyterian Church, Coleraine.. He was born on 14 May 1865 and volunteered to minister in the YMCA huts in France during the war. He died of head wounds sustained in a car accident (as did his chauffeur) while actively serving in that role. Such men were granted the right to a war grave, as if they had been soldiers. They were treated equally by the then Imperial War Graves Commission.
