About the memorial: A leather-bound vellum book of remembrance in a glazed wooden case. Each page is decorated with a coloured border and illustrations of flowers, foliage, geometrical designs and text in different styles of coloured calligraphy. The upright wooden case has a moulded cornice at the head above a carved frieze, moulded pilasters at the sides, and a glazed front cover.
