About the memorial: An addition to the inscription on the headstone of a family grave. The tall oblong concrete headstone has a flat top with a fluted frieze at the head and bears an inlaid inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong base with bevelled top and is accompanied by oblong kerbs. It is just west of the lodge. He is not commemorated by the CWGC so must have died after discharge from the Army, but the gravestone is clear that the death was due to the effects of war, so this is a valid record.
