About the memorial: Paper Roll of Honour on card, rescued in 2019 from being burnt on a bonfire and deposited at the Archives on 22 March 2019. It is archival reference DS 15/15/10. The School closed in the 1990's and is now Mae's Tea Rooms and Gallery, The Old School, Uldale CA7 1HA. The names are handwritten on a pre-printed form and the name of the School was never inserted in the appropriate space. Private Wood was killed on 2 October 1916 not 22 October as on the memorial. He is also commemorated on an addition to gravestone at Uldale Church- WMO/179295. John Graham is also on the Ireby memorial- WMO/172950.
