About the memorial: Additional lettering to the inscription on a family gravestone. The white marble monument comprises a figure of a winged angel on a tall battered pedestal and limestone plinth, all contained within kerbstones. The inscription is inlaid on the face of the pedestal in mainly upright capital block lettering. It is south west of the Church. He is also commemorated on the tablet inside the Church-WMO/293547. See also WMO/260659 for a plaque recording the history and loss of HMS Abdiel, his ship.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
