About the memorial: Five suspended silver sanctuary lamps accompanied by a dedicatory plaque. The five lamps are suspended from the sanctuary ceiling by chains and form an arc around the altar. Each decorated bowl-shaped lamp has a pendant below and three curled arms above to which the suspension chains are attached. Circular red glass shades surround the lights. The long narrow plaque, on an adjacent wall, has trefoil ends and bears an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering infilled in black with rubricated initials. Note that Locko Hall is not on Google maps, but the pin location on here has been plotted from paper mapping. CWGC record that he had previously served in the Boer War. Locko Hall is between Oakwood, Spondon, Stanley, Ockbrook and Dale Abbey. It is a private residence and not normally open to the public. The memorial is in the private Chapel to the hall. William Drury Drury-Lowe had been a Lieutenant Colonel in the artillery but had chosen to drop rank in order to return to his original regiment as Captain which rank he held at the time of his death.
