About the memorial: An inclined tablet at the foot of a family grave. The oblong grey limestone tablet has hollowed shoulders and bears in inlaid inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The tablet accompanies a low headstone on the grave, which also has oblong stone kerbs. It is about 120 metres due west of the church. CWGC gives the date of death as 26 September, the transcription gives 20 September- from the image it is hard to be categoric or not as to whether the transcription is correct.
