About the memorial: Additional wording on a white marble headstone on a family grave. The headstone is in the style of a scroll unfurled over the face of a wall with a spray of foliage to each side.  The scroll bears a ribbon in relief at the head with an inlaid inscription in sentence case gothic lettering, although most of the letters are missing, and the principal inscription on the face in various styles of inlaid capital lettering. The headstone surmounts a plain white marble base with bevelled top, and is accompanied by a recumbent granite tablet with a further incised inscription and by plain oblong limestone kerbs. It is north west of the church, on the right side of the central path when walking up the hill.
