About the memorial: An addition to the wording on a family gravestone comprising an upright oblong polished granite headstone with a shallow triangular arch top. The face of the headstone bears an incised inscription in mainly upright capital roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an ablong base with bevelled top and a further inscription on the face, and is accompanied by plain oblong kerbs which bear the maker's name incised at the foot. It is towards the eastern corner of the Churchyard. CWGC have his full forename of Thomas, rather than the shortened Tom on the gravestone- as does his village memorial at Birch Vale (WMO/259088).
