Setting: Inside a building - public/private
Description: Board/Plaque/ Tablet
Materials:
  • Timber Timber (any)
Lettering: Incised
Conflicts:
  • Second World War (1939-1945)
About the memorial: Carved wooden board with wreath and ribbons surrounding a Maltese cross at the top. The church was founded in 1888 in an iron building which was still in use in 1967 with a congregation of 29. It no longer seems to exist as a Congregational Church. It is possible that it is now the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, which appears to occupy an iron structure at number 84 Ramsay Road. Whether the memorial remains in this building or whether it was moved at some point to another United Reformed Church after the 1972 merger with the Presbyterians needs to be ascertained.
