About the memorial: An addition to a black granite headstone on a family grave. The tall roughly-dressed headstone has a top sloping to the right and a polished cross at the head on the left. The face bears an oblong polished panel with an incised inscription mainly in upright capital block and roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong battered roughly-dressed granite base with the maker's name incised on the side. It is north east of the gate.
